Small business 

Throughout my career, I have personally set up and run a number of small businesses. It's tough. It's really tough.

Small and medium sized businesses are one of the foundations of our economy. We need to do better by them. I feel strongly that the current Administration and our elected representatives have left them behind. All that seems to count for them are the interests of their mega-donors.

 

• The White House just slashed the workforce of the Small Business Administration by 43%.

• Tariffs increase costs for businesses while offering few advantages to operations working on the smallest of margins.

The current policies serve only to put small business owners and workers into bankruptcy so that billionaires like Pete Ricketts and his buddies can buy them up at pennies on the dollar. 

 

I believe in supporting and encouraging small businesses who are investing in our future with tax breaks, low interest loans and incentives, especially for startups. ​

CONGRESS COULD CHANGE ALL THIS TOMORROW, BUT THEY SIT IDLE, COMPLACENT AND COMPLICIT. WE DESERVE BETTER!
